survival of the strongest will

It’s funny how the power of a mans will can over-come just about everything. when i was not to much younger, I was on the wrong path and not up to much good. after spending a few months homeless living in a hamock in the woods, I took a look at my life and decided some changes had to be made. I put my chin up and delt with the pain of a broken back and went to work at a lumber mill working 10-12 hour days. I hated every minute of it but put up with the BS to provide for my family. After not being able to tolerate the pain i had to quit. right about this time my girl of 4 years left me and i no longer had the company of my best friend and my beautiful baby girl. All the trials and heart ache helped prepare me for the struggle to come. I went back to school full time and drove 6 hours every weekend to see my daughter. With little to no time for a social life i don’t get out too much. But i just layed my little girl down for bed and looked a report card showing a 4.0 and realized that dealing with the struggle and having the pride to stick to my beliefs, may not have been easy but I see a very bright future for me and the one that means most in my life. So for all those out there that just want to drop their gloves and throw in the towl. dont the hard times make success all that more beautiful.
