Hey Ali – This Thursday (Phoenix)  will be my first time seeing you live.  I don’t know if your shows are ever KRS-style and you let some of the kids in the crowd get some mic time, but I’d love to share a short prayer with you. Regardless, I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for what you’re doing. I know it must be a bitch at times to have so many people “know” you..or think they do. I can’t imagine what that must be like – I know I couldn’t handle it. I love performing: the adrenaline high and all the energy coming at me, but I don’t deal well with the attention that comes after the show, off-stage.  But the message you are infiltrating is so powerful, and I know you have inspired many many souls.  I’ve been a freak since I was kid – I got burned in a housefire and got made fun of for my scars in school. And now I’m hot as fuck and I love my body! (lol)    I relate to your lyrics on levels that blow my mind. I love seeing that other people feel the same way – it’s confirmation that we really are one family.      Truth is Truth. Truth is Love. Love is Allah (God) . And that’s where we come from.
