Brother Ali,
Thank you for the awe-inspiring music you continually share with the world. The uplifting messages of your music have helped me to face and deal with some of the greatest challenges and hardships in my life, such as my father’s suicide when I was 13. Since you are one of my heroes, I waited in line for an hour just to meet you at Soundset last spring; unfortunately, by the time I got toward the front of the line you had to leave to prepare for your performance that day. Since I didn’t get a chance to speak with you personally at Soundset, I just want to take this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate your music. Ever since the first time I listened to “Shadows on the Sun,” your music has helped fuel my personal drive to be the best I can be, whether it’s in the classroom, on the football field, or just in my day-to-day life. Because of your music, I view everyday as an opportunity to share my light with the rest of the world, and realize that “there’s no me and you, it’s just us.”

That really means a lot to me Dan. Thank you. I’m sorry about Soundset man! There were just SO damn many people I wasn’t able t get to everyone. Thank you for listening as deeply as you do. Thanks for your support over the years and I appreciate you stopping by the site to share the love.
So in essence, what I’m saying is “No. Thank YOUUUUUU!!”
